About Me
Hi, I am Ajay Khalde from Mumbai. I am an Ultra Triathlete, Ultra Cyclist, Ultra Trail runner, Calisthenics, and trekker person. So far, I am closer to the 100th long runs, multiple Triathlons & Duathlons, several times being part of the world’s toughest races, 3 Guinness world record team members in 500+ treks in Sahyadri and associated with elite athletes & mentoring sports persons, teams. Sports have been my tutor in life.
This year, I’m dedicating my TATA Mumbai Marathon to the brave cancer patients fighting for their lives every single day. I am raising funds for the GJK Foundation who supports cancer patients. This will make a tangible impact on patient's lives. Cancer is a devastating disease and any treatment is financially a task.
I’m reaching out with a deeply personal goal that extends beyond my own journey as an Athlete. Running Ultra distance, Marathon taught me to overcome suffering and continue my run, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges these individual patient faces daily.
Appeal
I am honored to be part of the Gunvati Jagan Nath Kapoor Foundation in their journey to support cancer patients. For the last 10 years, the GJK Foundation has supported thousands of cancer patients at Tata Hospital.
The Gunvati Jagan Nath Kapoor Foundation, Mumbai is one of the NGOs that support the cancer patient. This Foundation works very closely with the patient to provide all possible help so that no cancer patient leaves without treatment due to financial problems and emotional support. For more than a decade the Foundation has been fully dedicated to their vision and mission to cancer awareness and early detection of cancer in society.
Cancer touches so many lives — whether it’s a family member, a friend, or a loved one. I’m running this marathon to raise funds and awareness, hoping to make a tangible difference in their journey. The funds raised will go directly toward providing essential treatment and support services, that could help save lives.
