Hello, I'm Ankita Gawade, currently taking care of the accounts and admin at MelJol. I hold a bachelor's degree in commerce and have over three years of experience in accounting and finance. At MelJol, I manage various aspects of our financial operations, including accounting, donor reporting, and audit support. My role allows me to ensure transparency, compliance, and smooth functioning of the organization's financial systems. I'm passionate about contributing to the success of MelJol and constantly look for ways to improve our financial processes.
Appeal
MelJol is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to fostering the holistic development of children, with a strong focus on promoting children's rights and financial literacy. Founded in 1991, MelJol has been at the forefront of empowering children from underprivileged backgrounds by instilling in them values of equality, responsibility, and social awareness. One of the organization's key initiatives are Aflatoun Integrated LEAP program, which equips children with essential life skills and financial education, enabling them to become confident and economically responsible individuals; Nirmaan Initiative, GramArth and Integrated Village development project.
MelJol works closely with schools, communities, and government bodies to implement its programs, impacting thousands of children across India. By promoting child-centric learning and encouraging active participation in their own development, MelJol aims to break the cycle of poverty and build a foundation for a more equitable society. The NGO also plays a crucial role in capacity-building, advocacy, and creating a supportive environment for children.
