About Me
Dr Anuja Purandare completed her MD in Pathalogy from Tata Memorial Hospital with gold medal. She was a Cytologist at Cama Hospital for early 10 years. While she is part of the Purandare family with 3 generations into maternity & nursing home in South Mumbai, she has successfully run her pathalogy laboratory for 30 years.
She is socially active with Pragati Pratishthan that is working for welfare of people in remote areas of Jawhar, Mokhada in Palghar district of Maharashtra. Her association now spans for 17 years with various roles and activities. Locally, she has been working with the schools in and around Girgaon, Mumbai for the benefit of students there. She was also associated with Rotary Club for several years. 2 years ago, she got associated with Samskrita Bharati. While she is studying MA in Samskrit at Mumbai University, she has also taken up courses from Samskrita Bharati with equal interest. As the President of Mumbadevi District of Samskrita Bharati, she is actively participating and supporting the team with necessary resources.
Appeal
I got introduced to Samskrita Bharati a couple of years ago. In this span of time, I have been studying through Samskrita Bharati courses and have also experienced the conduct of several programmes of Samskrita Bharati from Sambhashan Shibiram to Janapad Sammelanam to review meetings.
The direct teaching - without translation, informal / play-way methods, have individually helped me in my conversation and Masters studies. This has created a synergy necessary for restoration of this rich language as a popular language of conversation. With efforts that Samskrita Bharati takes along with all the like-minded, well wishing associates, improtance of learning and using Samskrit is becoming relevant with the treasure of knowledge it possesses. As a student of Samskrit and related subjects, I am realizing that there are many mis-interpretations and deliberate perspectives putforth, which need to be course-corrected. Thus, unless we take up factual, scientific studies in its purest form in Samskrit, we will remain in dark about the truth. For this, knowledge of Samskrit becomes necessary.
Without financial support to create infrastructure and conducive atmosphere, how will the institution reach remote corners, mounts and vallies in this diverse region? Samskrita Bharati charges low or no fees for the courses with its volunteers devoting time and efforts for the cause.
I request one and all to come together to strengthen the efforts that Samskrita Bharati is putting. I appeal to donate for the noble cause of Samskrit to have strong foundation for a golden temple at the top in near future.
