Hi I am Ritu Chandwani! I work as a Consultant-Manager- Partnerships with Vipla Foundation.

Vipla Foundation has worked for the enrichment of lives of women and children since the last 36 years. In the last 10 years, Vipla Foundation with a presence in Maharashtra, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, and Gujarat, has reached out to 10,00,000+ beneficiaries in the areas of Early Childhood Care, Education, Inclusion, and Women Empowerment, skilling initiatives and more, impacting 11 SDGs. Vipla Foundation works on removing inter-generational cycle of poverty and lack of opportunities in society for all. In 2022-23, Vipla. Foundation impacted 1,86,426 lives.

Through their Dhvani Outreach Program, Vipla Foundation introduced India’s first-ever missed call helpline number, Dial for Dhvani (022-49393333), to ensure a child’s caregiver can seek help for hearing impairment.

I have 20 years experience in HR, Consulting and Social Sector. I have worked with Bayer India, Lowe Lintas, AF Ferguson & Co. My consulting clients included Tata Sons, Aditya Birla Group, Citibank, Mahindra&Mahindra, IDFC, Birla AT&T.

My social sector experience includes Aditya Birla Center of Enriching Lives (ABCEL) a social initiative by the Aditya Birla Group for enriching lives of urban middle class - women returning to work, retired armed personnel and senior citizens. Since 15 years, I have been supporting talented heritage tribal and folk artisans from rural India.

I am always inspired by Mr Ratan Tata to contribute to a better world.

This is the world of silence of children born with Hearing Impairment (HI), who couldn’t take timely remedial action to hear and speak. As timely early intervention is not done, the children born with HI, not only do not hear but also do not speak also, as the brain does not recognise the waves of sound and cannot understand the syllables of speech. The silence enveloped their lives completely. A world with no loving voices of parents, jokes by siblings, no favourite sound tracks, no sounds of laughter, no songs of Arijit Singh to sing along with, no voices of Teachers, no banter, no sound of birds chirping.

YOU can help CHANGE THIS and fill the lives of the HI children, with sounds of speech and laughter. Timely and early interventions will give the children a new life, where they can hear and speak, just as VEDANT RAWOOL, 19 years today.

Vedant had hearing impairment since birth. Through Vipla Foundation, he got a Cochlear Implant (CI) and started speaking and listening. Today he has taken admission to Junior college. However, CI devices have a limited lifeline and needs to be upgraded every 5-8 years. Vedanta’s device needs to be replaced so that he can hear again and continue his education and become an independent young man. He can barely hear again. The cost is Rs. 3,13,920/.

I am participating in the 5.9 km Dream Run of the Jan 19, 2025, Tata Mumbai Marathon, raising funds for Vedant and two more kids, MOHAMMED RAZA QURESHI, 6 years and ARBIYA KHAN, 10 years, to hear again and lead fulfilling lives filled with sound, speech laughter and education.

Mohammed Raza Qureshi, has severe hearing loss. For the special implant, the cost of the processor : Rs. 6,73,050/-

Arbiya Khan is currently studying in special care centre. Her CI surgery was done in 2017. By using the device she was able to perform well in academics and other activities. Since last 6 months, Arbiya’s processor is not working. Her Father works as a labourer and is not able to afford the costs of her CI. N7S upgrade, cost - Rs. 3,12,900/-

TOTAL COST is Rs. 12,99,870/-
