Every 90 seconds, cervical cancer claims the life of a woman. It is one of the most common cancers affecting women globally, particularly in low- and middle-income countries like India. The main cause? The Human Papillomavirus (HPV), a virus that is preventable with vaccination.

But here’s the challenge: HPV vaccines are not yet widely available through India’s public health system, and for many families, they are simply too expensive. Despite a national screening program, less than 2% of women in India have undergone cervical cancer screening, putting millions at risk of this preventable disease.

This is not just a women’s issue – it affects entire families.

Men and children are an important part of this fight. HPV doesn’t only affect women—it can also cause health issues in men, including certain cancers. Vaccinating boys can prevent the spread of HPV, protecting both them and their future partners. Additionally, families who lose mothers or sisters to cervical cancer are often left devastated emotionally and financially. By protecting women, we are safeguarding families.

Through this fundraiser, we are supporting FPA India’s mission to protect 100,000 adolescent girls, boys, women, and families by:

Providing access to affordable HPV vaccinations for both girls and boys.
Organizing free cervical cancer screenings for women.
Raising awareness about HPV, cervical cancer prevention, and the importance of vaccination for men, women, and children.
Our Impact So Far:

Last year, FPA India’s “Race to Erase Cervical Cancer” campaign secured over 900 doses of the HPV vaccine and conducted 16,000 cervical cancer screenings. Now, we’re expanding our reach to protect even more women, men, and children across India. And we need your help.
