Maharashtra State Womens Council (MSWC) is a 106 years NGO working to improve the life of
distressed children and women. MSWC has the following projects :
Asha Sadan - Our flagship project committed to the
protection, rehabilitation, and social re-integration of children who are lost,
orphaned, abused and abandoned, children of unwed mothers/commercial sex
workers, children rescued from begging.
Asha Kiran - A day care and learning centre for street
children and night shelter for vulnerable girls
Abhilasha at Dharavi - Balwadi and day care centre for
children and vocational training centre for underprivileged women residing at
dharavi slums
Bapnu Ghar - A home for distressed women and victims of
domestic violence, providing them accommodation, counselling, psychiatric and
vocational assistance and legal advice with the primary aim of
reconciliation.
Savera - Day care centre and sheltered workshop for children
with special needs
Foster Care - Offers financial assistance for education to
children of single or terminally ill parents
Adoption - Providing safe and secure home, in India and
abroad, to the orphans and abandoned children
Free Library & Study Centre at Worli - Students come to
study in peace till late into the night
