About Me

I am a neuropathologist (retd.) and associated with MSWC since 2006, presently holding the post of President.

The objectives of MSWC are very close to my heart and feel that however much we do, it still falls short due to financial constraints, as we are unable to reach out to more beneficiaries.

Appeal

<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">I, Dr. Shirin Barodawala am President of Maharashtra State Women's Council (MSWC) a 105 years young NGO having 365 registered members, working tirelessly for the upliftment of destitute women and children. MSWC has the following projects :</span></p><p>Asha Sadan -&nbsp;<span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; text-align: justify;">Our
flagship project committed to the protection, rehabilitation, and social re-integration
of children who are lost, orphaned, abused and abandoned, children of unwed
mothers/commercial sex workers, children rescued from begging.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">Asha Kiran – a day care and learning centre for street
children and night shelter for vulnerable girls</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">Abhilasha at Dharavi – Balwadi and day care centre for
children and vocational training centre for underprivileged women residing at dharavi slums</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">Bapnu Ghar – a home for distressed women and victims of
domestic violence, providing them accommodation and legal advice</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Savera - Day care centre and sheltered workshop for
children with special needs</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Foster Care - offers financial assistance for education to children of single or terminally ill parents</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Free Public Library and community study centre - open till late into the night</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Adoption -&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Providing safe and
