Every year I try to raise awareness for causes I feel deeply about, volunteer with organisations and find opportunities to help make a difference across the spectrum of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. I have been fortunate to serve on CSR committees of the companies I've worked for over 15 years and been able to partner with NGOs more hands on.
I would like to leave the world in a much better shape, where no one is left behind.

Appeal

I have been running as an Ally with People With Disabilities since 2020. Last year, I attempted to also raise funds for Children with Disabilities to have access to prosthetic/orthotic devices, which provides early stage intervention for corrective therapy and a shot at standing on their own feet and shaping their destiny.

Thanks to the many who supported us, we could provide these life altering interventions to over 600 children and in the past year, we have seen first hand the change it has made to their lives. So many of these children are now walking, running and going to school thanks to the gift of mobility.

While we rejoice and celebrate the success for these children, we unfortunately also realized that the extent of this challenge is so widespread and there are thousands of these children across the country that desperately need this intervention to change the trajectory of their lives.

So this year we want to continue on this journey of expanding our reach to more and more children and build on the start we had last year. For a modest cost of Rs 20-30K we have the ability to make life altering interventions for these children.

As we get set to run yet another Inclusion run with over 100 pairs of persons with disabilities and their Allies @ TMM 2025, I hope that we can also mark this journey with one that can light up a child’s world and provide the one thing they need the most – HOPE !

Enthused by the remarkable impact of this intervention, we are aspiring to raise over Rs 1 Crore, so we can make a difference to at least another 600 children.

And yes it will be my fourth year of running as an Ally.
