Cancer is a devasting disease and the mortality and incidence of cancer in India is more than 1 million cases per year. Cancer costs just do not encompass the treatment costs but also initial diagnostic tests, treatment costs (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery) and non-medical costs like accommodation, nutrition etc. during cancer treatment for the underprivileged.
