About Me
My name is Atul Singh Rathod, a 21-year-old Retinoblastoma Cancer Survivor from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. At just two years old, I was diagnosed with eye cancer after multiple hospital visits. My mother faced numerous challenges, including financial difficulties and neglect from relatives, but she never gave up. Despite my father's abandonment and doubts about my treatment, my mother took me to AIIMS, where I received the care that saved my life.
It's been over 19 years since my treatment, and I am doing well. I am now committed to raising awareness that childhood cancer is curable and working at Cankids Kidscan as a full-time employee.
Appeal
Hi, I’m Atul Singh Rathod, a 21-year-old Retinoblastoma Cancer Survivor from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. My journey began when I was just 2 years old, and after multiple visits to hospitals, I was diagnosed with eye cancer. My mother, despite facing financial hardships and neglect from relatives, never gave up. She took me to AIIMS, where I received the treatment that saved my life.
Today, I’m healthy and living well, thanks to my mother’s strength and the care I received. It’s been over 19 years since my treatment, and now, I want to raise awareness that childhood cancer is curable.
This year, I’ll be running in the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) Dream Run 2025 alongside 11 other cancer survivors. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to support children battling cancer.
