About Me

Running for me is mental therapy. A way to run away from negative thoughts, bad fitness, diffidence and gain your superpower of the mindset "Everything is Possible".

I started my journey 9 years back when I took to this sport because of a lung illness. I wanted to strengthen my lungs and wanted to enjoy the outdoors with a thrilling sport. It helped me focus, mentally be strong and also as a mother of two daughters , helped me stay fit despite commitments and routines.

Here I am running my 5th half marathon and hope to help the cause of kids suffering from cancer with CanKids KidsCan..... I want to be able to run with a purpose and amplify the efforts Cankids is making to bring about a hope in these kids' life.

These brave young fighters deserve every ounce of support we can offer. And together, we can make a difference. I invite you to contribute—even the amount you'd spend on one family dinner could go a long way in bringing hope and healing to these children.

Appeal

Did you know that if a child has cancer in the USA, their chances of survival are 80 to 90%. But in India, it is 35%. But it doesn't have to be that way. Founded in 2004 by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKidsKidsCan - The National Society For Change For Childhood Cancer In India aims to change that. Creating real and visible impact CanKids has driven access to care for kids with cancer from 29% to 53% by 2025, with a goal of 100% access, 100% financial protection, and 60% survival by 2030.

CanKids partners with hospitals, medical professionals, and state governments to move India towards 100% access2care & higher survival rates for children with cancer. They enable best standards of treatment, care and support across 141 partner centers in 53 cities and 22 states of India. Catering to primarily underprivileged families, CanKids serves the underserved, ensuring avoidance of financial hardship.

Your donation goes towards medical treatment, blood work, nutrition, counseling, education of a child with cancer. Together we can bring light into dark and shine the way for more children with cancer to #surviveandthrive.
