About Me

I, cancer survivors - 22-year-old Roshan and 30-year-old- living with disabilities in their maiden foray as runners in the TMM 2023 and trying to raise 1,00,000 to support more children with cancer in India.

This year I will again be running the Tata Mumbai Marathon on 18th Jan 2026 to support and raise funds for CanKids KidsCan which helps children with cancer across India. I have known the folks at CanKids for many years and I believe all of us can do our bit to make this world a better place. No amount is too small - I hope we can make a difference together for these children in any possible way. Help me help them and spread the word! I humbly request all my friends to donate what you would spend on one good dinner out with your family. It would really go a long long way in helping these brave little kids. Thanks for your support and together lets do Cancer Ko Dhishoom Dhishoom!

Appeal

When it comes to cancer, nutrition plays a crucial role in the recovery and well-being of children with cancer.

We the 20 dietitians of Cankids, who look after the nutrition management of kids with cancer across all our partnering treating centers, have joined together, to support 2 of our childhood cancer survivors - 22 year old Roshan and 30 year old Prashant- living with disabilities in their maiden foray as runners in the TMM 2023.

They participated in the Champion with disability category on sunday Jan 15th took on the challenge of a marathon to raise much-needed funds for the cause of childhood cancer and to highlight that kids with cancer often have to live with disabilities resulting from the cancer and its treatment. with the help of dedicated dietitians Roshan and Prashant trained for the marathon.

Roshan had bone cancer at 17. It left him with a right leg prosthesis. He is the one who is intolerant to even gut, friendly fruit like banana. He’s also the one whose love for dance didn’t fade away even when Cancer gave him a tough time Despite his prosthesis Roshan is an awesome dancer.
Prashant who had Ewings sarcoma at age 8, relapsed after 11 years which is rare. It totally devastated his parents and family. If it wasn’t for 2 of his doctors who didn’t give up and a brave radiation oncologist, he would have died. they needed to replace his hip and left him with a permanent disability.

Roshan and Prashanth came back stronger to show that anything is possible with good treatment, doctors hwo care and the determination and support and the love of that family and friends. They both have used their superhero strength and energy to give back to others who are still fighting cancer.

when they ran the marathon last Sunday, they ran so more children can survive and thrive and more survivors can run marathons in the years to come to help raise funds and awareness for the cause.

Your support will make a difference to their lives, and the lives of many others were facing the challenges of cancer, and the disability your donation will go directly to support children with cancer and cancer research by donating you will help to find children with disability or children with cancer who are also faced with disabilities
