About Me
Hello! I am Aarti Shah and I am coming from Indianapolis, USA to partake in the Mumbai Marathon.
Why am I doing this?
Born and raised in Ahmedabad, my mom and dad never finished college, but their dream was to give the best education to their children. More than 3 decades ago, they decided to spend their life’s savings and send me to USA to purse my dream to get a PhD. That education led me to a role at a Fortune 500 company, Eli Lilly & Company where I grew from a senior statistician to becoming the first woman of color on Lilly’s executive committee. I served as SVP and Lilly’s chief information and digital officer before retiring last year to spend majority of my time to serve through the various initiatives of SRLC. I am proud to be an alumnus of – Mount Carmel High School and St Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad and University of California, Riverside, USA.
None of this would have been possible without the excellent education I was offered and the unconditional support and encouragement I had as a woman from so many! Come, join me, and support the education and women empowerment initiatives of SRLC.

Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care
Inspired by Shrimad Rajchandraji and guided by Pujya Gurudevshri, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care is a social initiative to offer selfless service & bring joy to the lives of the underserved sections of society. Since 2020, it has been granted ˜Special Consultative Status™ by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC).

Education:
Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth is the first science college across 238 villages in the areas and Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul and Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyavihar are leading schools in the region. The rate of rural women enrolled in these institutes is >60%!
Shrimad Rajchandra Women Empowerment Programme:
Uplifts rural women by providing them with employment opportunities under the brand ˜Raj Uphaar™. Women produce more than 100 varieties of desserts, snacks, fragrances and utility items.
Over 8,700 women have been impacted in the last 4 years through this!
