About Me
My journey of working full-time with the Chinmaya Mission began in the villages of Bharat.
A physiotherapist by profession, I witnessed first-hand the power of on-ground, holistic interventions for sustainable development, and the need for preserving Indian value-systems and traditions.
From working in different capacities at Central Chinmaya Mission Trust (CCMT) since 2004, to my current role as CEO of CCMT (since 2016) and Trustee of Chinmaya Mission’s University, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (since 2017), I continue to be inspired by the spirit and resilience of rural India.
Thanks to the efforts of our supporters, our fundraising at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2023 was a grand success, with 300+ people representing our causes.
I am participating once again in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024 as a runner and fundraiser, dedicating this 'Marathon for Change' to God and our Gurus. Chinmaya Mission’s innovative models for change in education, healthcare and sustainability solve systemic social issues, aiming to bring maximum happiness to the maximum number for the maximum time.

Appeal
India - that is Bharat - is at the cusp of a new dawn, making rapid progress in every field. Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda foresaw the beginning of the India age and envisioned an enlightened Bharat, one of social equity and inclusion.
As this year marks the 108th Jayanti of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, we are undertaking social upliftment commemorative projects on a larger scale than ever before to bring His vision to life.
Your support for Chinmaya Mission’s multi-pronged seva initiatives will enable access to education and healthcare, and help promote environmental sustainability.
Chinmaya Mission has 82 Chinmaya Vidyalayas (K-12 Schools), about 40% of which are in remote areas of the country, providing quality education to marginalized communities. Over 1 million students have benefitted from the holistic educational programme.
Building on this legacy of academic excellence, our de novo deemed to be university, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV), offers globally accredited courses with 21st century job skills and the best of Indian culture.
Our Marathon for Change will facilitate infrastructural expansion of the state-of-the-art campus of CVV, and the Chinmaya Vidyalayas located in remote rural areas. In addition, contributions towards our fundraiser will help provide scholarships for students most in need.
We aim to help close the gap in access to quality healthcare in India, especially for the elderly and disabled. Funds will also be utilized to implement green initiatives such as water conservation, solar-power systems and waste management across Chinmaya centres.
