About Me

Thank you for visiting my page. I will be running the half marathon on Sunday, January 19, as a part of the TMM 2025 (Tata Mumbai Marathon) event and promise to give it my best. I am dedicating this run to United Way Mumbai's Project Ankur, which works with Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) to promote Early Childhood Care & Development (ECCD) and build school readiness among children in the age group of 3 to 6 years. Appeal

Early childhood, defined as the period from birth to eight years, is a time of remarkable growth and development in a child's lifetime. Almost 90% of brain growth occurs by age 5. Helping kids grow well during this period is really crucial for their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.

United Way Mumbai's Project Ankur works with Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) to promote Early Childhood Care & Development (ECCD) and build school readiness among children in the age group of 3 to 6 years. This is done
by working with Anganwadi centers and teaching caregivers and staff on how to support these kids. Over the years, project Ankur has developed and strengthened over 204 Anganwadi centers through infrastructure refurbishment, providing teaching learning materials and built a human infrastructure of 200+ Anganwadi workers, 16,000+ parents and caregivers and 400+ ICDS staff across India. It indeed does take a village to raise a child, and Project Ankur offers an opportunity for us to support the holistic development of children from the early age of 3 years.
