About Me

I spent 10 years working with an educational organisation that took me to the remotest parts of India. That's when I met many interesting people who narrated their life stories but the women were the ones who left the deepest impressions. On many occasions, I was reminded of the fortitude and courage women possess. I gradually realised that a meaningful change in society can only be brought about if women are empowered. Now, I am grateful to be heading an organisation like empowHER India that works towards ensuring that women are heard and their opinions valued. I hope you will join me in making our shared vision a reality.

At empowHER India, we envision a future where women realize their full potential and drive positive change in their communities. For over two decades, we’ve uplifted women in Panvel by providing essential resources, expanding from financial inclusion to education, sanitation, and clean water.

This year, we are raising funds to support programs for rural adolescent girls in Raigad and Aurangabad. Our initiatives enhance their socio-emotional well-being, decision-making skills, health knowledge, gender equity awareness, and financial literacy through engaging life skills sessions and community activities.
