When
one life ends, it has the potential to give eight others, a new chance
at life through organ donation. This idea touched me deeply, and in 2016, I
pledged to donate my own organs. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to raising
awareness about this life-saving cause and I have been volunteering with MOHAN
Foundation, an NGO, since many years.
The Foundation has been a pioneer in promoting organ donation since 27 years, focusing on public awareness, training
volunteers, educating healthcare professionals, and supporting grieving
families.
At
the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025, I’m running to raise awareness about organ
donation and to help underprivileged patients who urgently need transplants. The funds will be utilised for MOHAN Foundation initiative called Anudaan - Making Transplants Affordable, which
has helped over 75 patients, mostly children, in receiving life-saving
transplants - heart, liver, kidney, and corneal.
This year, I aim to raise funds for children, young adults,
and women in need of transplants, ensuring they don’t just survive but thrive
and go on to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
Every contribution counts—let’s save lives
together!
