Job Overview:
MIS Consultant on a contractual basis for our Skill Development Centre (SDC) project. The MIS Consultant will play a pivotal role in managing and analysing data, generating reports, and supporting decision-making processes for the project. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management tools, and the ability to generate detailed reports.
Job Responsibilities:

Collect, process, and manage large datasets related to the trainees, training progress, and project activities.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data by conducting regular audits.
- Analyse the data to extract trends, identify gaps, and provide insights for project improvement.
- Generate fortnight, monthly, and annual reports for internal project team and donors.
- Documenting significant trainee success stories
- Provide detailed analysis of project performance, including trainee enrolment, completion rates, placement status, and other key performance indicators.
- Develop dashboards and visual representations to make the data easily interpretable by project management

Work closely with the Centre In-Charge, Trainers, mobiliser, recruiter and other stakeholders to ensure data collection and reporting processes are seamless and timely.
- Monitor trainee’s retention in the job for at least six months post-placement.
- Coordinate with the project team to gather relevant data and address any discrepancies.

Maintain a robust filing system (both electronic and hard copy) to track project-related documentation such as course registration forms, attendance records, training evaluations, etc.
- Keep a record of reports and data analysis for audit purposes and future reference.
- Ensure data collection and reporting processes align with the project’s standards and donor requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement of data management practices.
- Present data insights and reports to the project team and donor partners during meetings and reviews.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on the project’s data and progress.
Profile Requisites
- Bachelors in Arts or Science
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in MIS roles, preferably in development sector or skill development projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other data management tools.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools is an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages.
Remuneration - Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the consultancy fees range is 35000 to 38000 per month
