Concern India Foundation is a registered, non-profit charitable trust working towards its objective of Helping People Help Themselves.
It was set up in 1991 to extend financial and non financial support to grass root programmes working in the areas of Education, Health and Community Development. Our support through these issues helps us reach out to a wider section of beneficiaries such as children, youth, the specially challenged, women and the elderly.
We strongly believe that the disadvantaged need opportunities, not charity and our focus is to bring about a positive change in the lives of the most vulnerable people of our society.
With about 20 years of experience in the field we have a strong identifying, monitoring and evaluating process of the programmes to ensure a judicious disbursal of the funds & resources. We reach out in various ways to over 200 programmes across the country, through our offices in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune.

Impact:
Years ago four children Kunal, Machindra, Sachin and Prakash belonging to the tribal community and deprived of right to education, health, nutrition and other basic services started their educational journey at the Jaag run Balwadi centers in the Borivali National Park.
Through Jaag's continuous intervention towards promoting the importance of education among tribal community, these four children pursued their formal schooling and today, they are completing their graduation through the "Yashwantrao Chavan Mukta Vidyapith" and are working towards carving a career path for themselves.
What is special about these four young men however; is that they have made a choice to inspire the children in their communities. As they continue to study, they have also chosen to become Balwadi teachers at the "Patachepani", "Akrachibhati" & "Kalmachafonda" centres in the Borivali National Park.
The community describes them as committed & hard workers. They are the bridge between the organization & the community. They participated and support the community in all issues and activities.
Along with contributing to the educational services they are also well versed with the tribal culture. They are skilled in Warli art, songs and dance of the tribal culture and teach these to the younger children.
