MILT - An organization of growth oriented people with a goal of making this world a better place to live in. This is achieved by giving loving & caring shelters to destitute boys, in "Snehalayas". MILT runs 5 Snehalayas in four metros- Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. Each of the MILT Snehalaya can house, 15 children & two house mothers.
The boys go to English schools till 5th. Then they continue further education at MILT residential school, Simultala, Bihar. Here they are educated till standard xii. Now, depending on their aptitude they are guided and sponsored in further education by MILTonians or they are free to take up jobs and start a promising life as they are all majors by now.
We have destitute becoming engineers, microbiologist and even architects. Others can opt for careers in call centres or malls as smart sales persons, speaking fluent English and become self supporting.

Appeal

MILT changed my life totally. A timid person like me who had not spoken to three people confidently, today speaks to 1000 plus audience in a flow state. During my MILT leadership course in 1991, I took an oath that; I shall start a home for destitute boys-Snehalaya, in Mumbai. Two years later this dream was fulfilled with support from my friends in MILT.
So far more than 200 boys have benefited from our Snehalayas & MILT residential school. We also give free primary education with breakfast and nutritious lunch to 75 under privileged children of Simultala.
Children at our school are given leadership training by the founder of MILT- Aporesh acharya. They also get special sports training and professional gymnasium facilities. The funds received from the Mumbai Marathon have gone a long way in shaping of the MILT residential school. This is my way of saying thank you MILT." WHERE THERE IS WILL, THERE IS A WAY."
